Like every trade fair in these times, Maison&Objet is reinventing itself. One of the changes is the completely new layout of the exhibition halls: from now on, everything for the home belongs to Decor&Design. The Belgium is Design selection, organized by Wallonie-Bruxelles Design Mode and Flanders District of Creativity, gives a room to established names as well as emerging designers and brands all taking part at the fair for the first time.
“Past Reveals Future” is Maison&Objet 2026 theme. At the intersection of raw materials and contemporary form, a quiet force emerges. Furniture is no longer just a succession of pieces: it becomes an extension of knowledge, craftsmanship and memory. What emanates from it goes beyond aesthetics: it is an aura, a breath, a trace of the past that is carried into the future. Each creation is part of an organic continuity, a slow, embodied transformation.
The Belgian selection is very diverse, with products in various materials and techniques, based on different approaches, but also sharing a desire to be part of a new and sustainable approach to design.
